Sometimes you have to stop fighting God - he may need to break you down in order to build you back up.

When we go through the hard things of life, it’s so easy to question God or even give up on God. We question why he would allow us to go through the broken situations that hurts us. And when we begin to question God, we question his goodness.

But, I’m here to tell ya - you have to change your perspective.

From the bible, we know that God is a good and loving God. After all, he made the greatest sacrifice that could have ever been made on our behalf, the death of his son on the cross - even when we had done absolutely nothing to deserve it. What greater love could be shown than that?

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3

Since we know that God loves us more than anyone else ever could, he would never do anything to hurt us. In our eyes, we may think our broken situations are simply meant to hurt us, but in Gods eyes, those situations are being used to bring us to something bigger and better in the future. Everything that he allows to happen to us is out of love. He is putting all of the pieces together in your life, the good and the bad, to make a beautiful puzzle that displays his plan for you.

Instead of dwelling on your hurt and pain in the moment - change your perspective. Allow yourself to look past the pain you are feeling and realize that there is another side to that mountain you are facing. You are headed to the other side. You have to tell yourself that, and trust that God is going to bring you through it. God has all power. He is literally able to raise the dead and walk on water. What makes you think he doesn’t have the power to bring you through the broken situation that you are going through?

Keep your eyes focused on the brightness waiting for you at the end of your broken situation.

Our brokenness can be used to make us stronger. God wants to heal you and put back all of the broken pieces in your heart to make you even stronger than you were before.

What you’re going through may even be for the purpose of helping someone else get through the same type of situation in the future. It’s so helpful to have someone, who has been through the same type of situation, there to encourage them in the ways that may have helped you when you went through it. So, look at your brokenness as a way of possibly being an encouragement to someone else in the future. You going through that broken situation may be the only way to reach that person in the future.

Our brokenness teaches us to rely on God more fully. When we are hurting or feeling broken we really realize how weak we are. A lot of people will look to many other things this world offers to ease the pain, but God wants you to look to him. He is the only source of fulfillment - and the only thing that will never fail you.

Your strength lies in him. We are not meant to go through our struggles alone. Spending time with God and seeking him allows us to be closer with him, which in turn allows us to be more like him. Becoming more like him means that we will be able to see our situations a little more clearly through his eyes - realizing there’s more to our pain that what we can see in the moment.

Something good is coming soon.

What’s the broken situation that you’re going through right now? How can you change your perspective about that situation to realize the goodness that will be coming on the other side? Who can you reach out to, after you’ve reached out to God, to help and encourage you through your broken situation?

God never meant for us to be alone. He built us for relationships. He has placed someone in your life right now that is able to encourage you. Reach out to them, be bold and don’t try to do this alone.

If you feel like you don’t have anyone, please reach out to me! I am willing to talk with you through your situation and encourage you through it. Or even just pray for you!

Trust me, going through it with someone by your side is so much better than going through it alone.

But remember, first - bring it to God and trust him to get you through it in the end!
